Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux
The city of Castillon la Bataille, well known in history, is located not very far from our property owned in 2005 and made up of 5 hectares of vines in Saint Philippe d’Aiguille, in a place named derrière petit Joanin.
The traditional grapes : merlot (80%) and cabernet sauvignon (20%) are cultivated on a rather thick limey soil. There again the traditional work of the wineyard and of the soil value this environment.
Lalande de Pomerol
Lalande de Pomerol appellation is situated only several miles north west of Libourne.
Thanks to monks builders in the XIIth century, the wine growing stretches over two villages : Lalande de Pomerol in the west and Néac in the east.
Our 4 ha property is situated in Lalande de Pomerol in two places named Bois de Laborde and Brouard. On this gravelly/rocky soils the three traditional merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc grapes are cultivated, respectively 90%, 7% et 3%.
The wineyard and soil work is traditional in order to respect the typicity of our environment.
